Natural Remedy for Supporting Your Child’s Respiratory Health

Fall is around the corner and along with the cooling temperatures come pumpkin lattes, crisp mornings, and potentially seasonal threats. We’re heading into that time of year when our littles get the sniffles and snuffles. As a parent, I know you want to do whatever you can to protect and support your kiddos when such seasonal threats come knocking.

Thinking back, I remember this time of year 24 years ago when I was a new, first time mom. My babe was about 5-6 months old when he got his first case of the sniffs. I wanted to help relieve the temporary congestion he was experiencing. What remedies did I know about back then? I had a bulb syringe and that was about it. Don’t get me wrong, bulb syringes do great work, but babies hate them.

One night about 11pm my little guy was desperate to sleep, but his snuffles were getting the best of him. Out of frustration, he cried and it broke my heart.

I was all a panic! I’m kind of that mom.

I felt helpless!

What could I do?

Poor guy just wanted to breathe clearly.

I wish I knew about essential oils way back then. If I would have known, I would have made a little homemade remedy, started the diffuser, and known relief was around the corner.

But instead, out of desperation, I called the after hours nurse begging for help. She told me to offer him comfort and maybe an over the counter pain reliever.

Now that I know better, those seemingly benign pain relievers are taxing on little filtering organs. These days, I’d consider options that are effective, beneficial, AND safe!

One remedy you can try is a clear breathing blend. It’s a simple recipe you can have made up ahead of time and store in a dropper bottle.

The Clear Breathing Blend is a simple and affordable remedy. The total cost is about $0.25 per application. If you’ve purchased a starter kit, you already have 2 of the most popular oils which are found in this recipe. All you need to add is eucalyptus, or you can use doTERRA’s Breathe essential oil. If you don’t already have a starter kit, here is the most affordable starter kit. It has 10 essential oils and a diffuser. Everything you need for this recipe.

If you’re ready to get started with essential oils, I’d be happy to walk alongside you in your journey! Don’t wait until your kiddo has the snuffles. It’s best to plan ahead.

Note: every new customer receives a Welcome Kit filled with what you need to get started… including a dropper bottle. If you have any questions, I’m happy to help.
